  • sparrowhawk = hawk, 鷹, raptor, Accipiter nisus, epervier d'Europe, Spurvehøg, Sperwer, Varpushaukka, Sperber, Sparviere, Spurvehauk, Gavilán común, Sparvhök = Second most common raptor in Britain (after the kestrel); mainly in wooded areas. Widespread throughout much of Europe. ~30--41cm with female much larger than males (and with slightly different hunting habits).
