  • diwali = Deepavali, दिवाली, Festival of Light, "row of lamps" = Diwali is a festival celebrated all over the world by Sikh, Jain and Hindu religions for the victory of light over dark and good over evil. Diwali is a five day celebration on the fifteenth day of the Hindu month of Kartika (October/November in the western/Gregorian calendar). Dates: 9 November 2007; 28 October 2008.
